Here is my rant for the day, just a few things that I had to say about general misconceptions or bad assumptions, take something from them or leave them, I don’t care.
1. The Doctor’s First Priority is to Save You; You can find out the hard way, like I have, that the doc is interested in doing things the “acceptable” way and all others are not considered. The perfect example of this is the treatment of c-diff, a nasty intestinal super bug that takes over when you have killed everything else in your gut by taking strong antibiotics. The doc says there is no way to replace your bugs and he would rather you die than be treated with an “experimental” method. The fact of the matter is that doctors wear blinders, and you had better take the responsibility of finding out about alternate treatments, because they won’t be suggested to you.
2. Lawyers Represent You; Sure in some wacked-out sense I guess they do. Fact of the matter is that they are “officers of the court” and they understand that they live and die in the legal system. I have been sold out by a number of attorneys over the years, they simply will not act as they are directed to by their clients. Lawyers actually believe that whatever they decide to do on your behalf was in your best interest. The greed and corruption that goes on within the legal system is so far from the ideals that people believe in that you have to be a fool to think that they are one in the same.
3. Things Will Always get Better; well maybe they will, and maybe they won’t, of course the real question that most people want answered is “will things get better for me in my lifetime?” If you look back through time you see some good times and lots of bad, so it just depends if you are lucky enough to have lived during a period of good times. Good times are also relative to the individual who is living them, I’m sure that there were some people who prospered during the great depression.
4. The Government Will Take Care of You; I think that this misconception is being tested of late, since many people are realizing that the government may be able to print a lot of money, but it can’t really solve many problems with it. A billion here a trillion there and what do you get? Usually just a whole lot of nothing. If you want to find out about what the government will do for you, start calling Veterans or people over 65 who are dealing with the health care system to survive. Sorry to burst your bubble, but they simply will not be there when you need them.
5. You Will Receive Equal Treatment; Yes, when you reach the planet Krypton and they are preparing your body as food you will receive equal treatment. Besides that possibility, your treatment as an equal here on earth is unlikely. Sure you may be able to force someone to consider you as a player, you are drawing breath and you did pay the entry fee, but don’t think for a moment that you are receiving equal treatment, its a myth.
6. Luck Counts; Sure it does, but almost insignificantly. If your only way out of your problem, whatever it may be, is to hope that you will get lucky, that things will change for you, you are well along the path toward failure.
7. Life is Fair; No, it is not. People with quality food, shelter, drugs, health care and support systems live longer and likely enjoy their lives more than those without these things. There will always be a battle between those who have and the have nots. As we have seen in the past, even governments that claim that their sole purpose is the equal distribution of weath have failed.
Don’t think for a minute that I don’t appreciate my own situation, that’s just another bad assumption on your part. I just don’t think that some people have had time to pull back the curtains and see that there are “Wizards” behind them and that they are as biased and falible as any other humans who makes decisions.

That’s an interesting rant. It’s always seemed to me that whenever two lawyers get in a room, the unspoken understanding is that as long as they’re negotiating, they’re both making money.
If I were to make my own lists of rants, I would definitely put the “Life is Fair” as my first rant. We all do know that Life is not really fair. Nowadays, I can’t see anything that is passing the “Fair Line”. I guess, life has been a bit cruel in dealing with me for the past months. It’s been a really crazy roller coaster ride.
But I need to keep my head steady and my feet firm.
Excellent examples of the wizards making biased and fallible decisions could be found in the banking industry and the government that helped put the economy in the state that it’s in now.
That’s part of the government taking care of you . . . you will soon be taken care of . . . but it won’t be in a way that you wanted.
These are excellent and very interesting rants. But I agreed with the post of Admin.
That’s a very good thought. Being taken care of by the government in a way that you don’t want. I’ve seen many of this. Some that I think is destroying the essence of our life.
This topic is very interesting. I appreciate the point and views of the admin. There are some instances that it happens.
This also reminds me of some of the issues addressed by Alex Jones. He certainly is at one pole of the conversation, but I think he raises many interesting points about government involvement in topics ranging from the formation of the Federal Reserve to the rounding up and detention of legal protesters in New York City during a Republican convention… I believe that may have been in 2004.
Those are only some of the misconception on this world. Can we add this, “only the rich people had a chance to become rich”, what do you think? Those that are on top (class A), the more they struggle the more they become rich. Of course, class B and C people do have a chance to become rich if they only know how to sacrifice to become successful.
I know what you are talking about. First we are told it is a classless system, then you get a bit older and figure out that you have already been marked as being in the “middle class,” then you figure out that you are in the “lower middle” and finally in the end you realize that you are not even in the “middle” at all.
The only reason they say its a classless system is just to make it as a standard belief and not to be noticed much. Therefore making it more peaceful that way when in fact there really is.
I perfectly understand what you mean admin. But we can’t deny the fact that whether we like it or not, their is a level status in our living.
Guys, have you noticed that most of the businessman become more rich because they work hard? Anyway, it’s not yet the end of the world for us. We could still strive or work hard so we can achieve our dreams. Lets just be positive!
Classes of people have always been there. They just don’t say it not to be branded racist or that sort. The problem with society now is that they always emphasize on that.
I perfectly understand what you mean, taketenamano. However, we have to think that this is just a challenge of our society to us, right? This means, we need to double our effort in order to succeed. What do you think?
My parents are good people who are being endited on medicare fraud and they totally got sold out.
There are definitely cases of people who prosper because they identify a need for a business, put a plan together and work hard. And there are others who prosper because they have back-door dealings that give them an unfair advantage, often with the help of various levels of government.
Aside from the class issue, I would like to share my thought on one of the misconceptions, “Government will take care of you”. This one is very common and it is true that the veterans are the ones mostly affected. We have a lot of problems with regard to government system. But recently, they’ve done something about the veterans issue and now, some of them enjoy their benefits. I guess, the solution to this misconception is to think positive, am I right? And for those people who took advantage of us, they’d surely have their punishment at the right time.
These list of misconceptions were common and some would agree to those. Well for me, the effects of these false beliefs depend on the perception of a person, right? We have to change the negative thoughts to a positive one. What do you think? Actually, all may be true however, we should look at the brighter side of life.
Well ..all that had been listed above i think are all true..but it will depend on us on how to deal with it as we go along with our existence here..nobody is perfect ..
The list above is correct in most cases, but i think personally that if you dwell on life it will look back at you with many dark arrows,
So the best solution would be to live everyday as it comes and deal with every situation as it comes,
just like lyka says above – “Nobody is perfect” we all learn from mistakes we do in our life and learn how to control what happends so we can live with it.
Good thing that you cited the statement “nobody is perfect”. You’re right with it, guys. Do you know, that this statement could also be some of our common misinterpretation? I really encountered a person, who hardly believe with this statement, and now he don’t even think to practice because “nobody is perfect”.
