Health is wealth as the saying goes and it must be the priority of the government..who will lead in the near future if the young of today is sickly and the likes??

Is capitalism is equivalent to monopoly ? Why in otherwise free society like US, monopoly of few industries in crucial areas like health care and energy is tolerated. Okay we do not want a totally socialistic system and govt. controls on every thing but in a few ares which are closely linked with majority of population we need to break these monopolies even at the cost of govt. control. Otherwise there will be no one to hear voice of economically weaker sections of our society.

I think many have the false hope that quality will not drop dramatically. There is absolutely no way that you can serve the poor, illegal immigrants and others for free with a health care system run by the government that will provide quality service. There are few government programs that are run with efficiency, and a national healthcare system would likely not be efficient.

One of the things I absolutely hated about military medical coverage was the fact that I had no recourse against those providing the services. When they mis-diagnosed a member of my family with TB, there was no recourse. If they kill you during a minor surgery, do you think that your family will be compensated because the government provided an inept surgeon? No. You will take what you get and be happy that it was provided at all. It’s called treatment with no responsiblity for the outcome. Not exactly what I was hoping for.

If only the health care can be affordable by many and not just the wealthy, it will be alright. Its sad that nowadays people tend to make money out of everything especially the health care. Imagine that.

That’s right Krisskross, there should be no changes in the quality of the services they provide. Actually, I don’t need the top shelf services for as long as I am very well taken care of, that would be enough. What do you think?

I guess it’s true, some people will not be able to afford top shelf services, unless you are wealthy. Unfortunately, not all have the money, agree? Anyway, whatever changes there will be in the future, I hope, there won’t be changes as to the quality of services they provide.

I just want to give emphasis with the line of the last paragraph. What does it mean relatively easy? Is it about the decrease of our medicine cost? Well, I think, if this will happen it could help our citizens to save more in their medicine. Am I right?

Being with an insurance company to covered my care needs and just spending to much of it means i’m just wasting my money on it, i don’t know how they manage not to give quality care if all they need to do is give what we need. Treating as fairly not just for our money.
