Our meager attempts to date to change direction on the use of fossil fuels and coal in the U.S. will likely have no effect on China or other developing countries that are ramping up their pollution outputs, but as the major environmental pollution abuser we need to lead by example.
Adjusting to small, fuel efficient autos, significantly increased utility bills and being forced to reduce our consumption will be one of the most difficult adjustments that we as Americans will have to face over the next several years. The fact that we, as a nation, are now recognizing that environmental problems exist instead of turning away as if they do not is a positive change.
Most people have heard about the advent of “green” buildings but there are literally millions of products that are claiming to be “green,” and you can access a list by State and by Category at United States Green Products. I think that some companies have started to get the message that lots of people are shopping “green.”
I know we still have a long way to go. Our city just had an “Earth Hour” and each year it has a campaign for everyone to set aside some time to clean up litter after the spring melt.
I think its a good idea to start right away…Its not yet too late for that. Its one of the biggest concern that we must pay attention to.
I’m trying to follow the progress, if you want to call it that, of the Obama “green” energy program. I think “cap and trade” will soon be dropped as a descriptive term, it’s getting too much negative press. We need to change our consumption habits, but it will be interesting to see how much support there programs really get when the rubber meets the road.

Three weeks ago I’ve watched Al gore’s “The Inconvenient Truth”. Loved it by the way. And after I watching it I made a few researches on the internet, now I really can’ tell if there would really still be a green future for everybody.
I’ll check the site later, however starting on buying green or preserving the environment must start at home, little acts such as recycling and everything ..when all the unit of the society (family) acts on it, then we can be sure that our earth is safe and will last longer than we expected.

i absolutely agree with living a green life. I love nature tripping and traveling. my country is rich in natural resources yet it is sad to know that we were not able to take of it. Whenever i would take the bus to the next city, i would pass by mountains formerly green but are now denuded and somehow, i feel sad upon seeing it yet i cant do anything. So i try to do little things which could help me become more responsible in taking care of the environment simply by throwing my trash properly.
I also support for green environment. This is our living home, a place to breathe, a place for food, for drink and for everything that we get that we need as human. So, why are we, ourselves too, leading to destruction the very beautiful environment that we still have?
I believe that we all have to do something, and fast, in order to make sure our planet doesn’t change as fast as it seems to be. One problem is that not everyone believes that these changes are happening so I guess it’s up to the rest of us to do whatever we can.

Definitely it should start within oneself, global warming is on the way of having the bad effects of using things that lead to nature destruction. Calamities results to the uncared people who just simply cut down trees, burning stuff that cause badly.Hope its not yet late to preserve mother nature and give our kids hope to experience the wonder of nature.
